The UK Corruption

The UK Corruption

Traditionally, the UK has been named among the top countries in terms of anti-corruption measures. From social benefits for loyal employees of the public sector to compensation for fraud, UK has always aimed to maintain clear reputation. Or at least it was aiming to do so. Now, just like a big add shouting Discount Displays Homepage is Here, the UK government is in corruption scandals and quite serious problems - the BSkyB scandal with Murdoch, the scams of Tories that were discussed in court rooms and media materials, are finally making a counter-claim to the corruption reputation of the UK.

The Murdoch scandal revealed some serious weaknesses in the system. It is clear it was quite easy for media people to obtain information through police and politicians from simply paying well. What this reveals is that the people in public offices are actually becoming more reckless about their positions and more motivated to be a part of a more profiting scheme, be it illegal. Thus Mr Cameron has a basis for thinking - where is he leading the country to. It is clear there is a neglected problem, however, it is also cleared it has not been properly addressed when first realized.

Secondly, even politicians from the Tories have accepted dirty money or have taken parts in serious financial frauds which also leads to corruption practices. Instead of working for a cleaner political class, the Tories keep admitting mistakes. It is high time for an anti-corruption system to take place in the UK and solve some neglected issues.
