Islam and The Arab Revolutions

The Arab revolutions transformed the otherwise “gentle"in the recent times Arab countries. In some places, DNA Tests were necessary to determine who is the victim - this is the extent to which violence escalated. Revolutions, uprisings and unrest are currently something of no interest simply because there is a lrger scale of this conflict - the massive conflicts, the killings, the intervention of the Western forces in the conflicts and the growing need for a stabilized Arab community.

One particular problem with the revolutions, however, appears without being addressed properly. Media are focusing on primary concerns such as number of dead people and political considerations from opposing parties. Although these are important factors, the media giants forget to mention the wave of jihadism that has embraced the Arab nations and how people from the Arab countries tend to shape their religious convictions in order to achieve mass control and disturbances.

This problems is already persisting in Yemen. A research by independent parties with the German government has confirmed that among the opposition, many people are being inspired by speeches of radical islamists. Nevetheless, the uprising continues under the logo of democracy, but underneath this proclamation, the concern for over islamisation of the society remains quite an actual problem. If uprisings are being motivated by radicals, or terrorism-related individuals, the problems in these countries might not be fixed by revolution, but deepened by a new order. When assisting Arab revolutions, Western nations must consider whether are not in fact assisting the birth of a more radical Arab world, more sceptical in its relations to the West and oriented towards a more aggressive treatment of the already existing partnerships of Muslim countries with the Western world.
